The Real Chick

Today we will talk about The Real Chick. As you can see, she is white, unlike our other chicks. Does anybody know if most chicks are white? That is one question we haven't answered yet.
Daddy named her The Real Chick because he thought that ALL the chicks were going to look like that. I thought he was being sarcastic.

We appreciate you, chick or person, for looking at our blog.

  1. When Granny was a little girl on the farm in Illinois, she loved to watch the chickens. They ran so funny with their wings tucked back, and when they drank the water they had to put their heads back and stretched their necks out to swallow. And when one chick got a worm, ALL of the other chickens would chase the one with the worm. She loves watching chickens, just like Kate and Charlotte.

  2. Wow! What a great blog. Reading your stories reminds of when I was little. My brother "won" a chicken in his second grade class. He brought it home and we kept it for as long as we could and then we gave it to friends with a farm. We had so much fun watching the little chick grow up. I do remember that he was rather messy, though.

  3. I thought your daddy was never sarcastic. Guess I was wrong. I did not realize chicks came in so many colors. I have learned a lot since reading your blog (I never had any chicks as a child and didn't live on a farm).

  4. MOrr, Wow that seems very interesting! I didn't know that Granny had chickens, or lived on a farm for that matter. Thank you for looking at our blog and I hope you enjoy it.

Jill Fisch, How did he win the chicken? I agree, our chicks are a little bit messy and we have four! We are giving the chicks back this weekend.

Grandma, Daddy is sarcastic a lot, just like Bobo. Thank you, we appreciate that you say that you have learned so much from our blog.
